Welcome Fall!

Oh, boy!  It's my favorite time of year!  I love fall and all the holidays that happen between now and New Year's.  I am extra "in the season" this year because I have had time to decorate.  Last year was so crazy that I didn't put decorations up for fall.  Then we didn't do Christmas either since we had the wedding and went to Rome for Christmas...so this year I may be a little over board as a result.

Fall updates for the Adam's family (snap, snap):  Anthony is busy studying for his second CPA exam.  He passed the first one, now he just has three more.  Seeing him have to study all the time before and after work makes me sure glad that I am done with that!  Every now and then I am tempted to go back to school.  Maybe I will one day, but right now, not having homework is good.  Our basement has been speeding up it's remodel.  I will have to take pictures soon.  This weekend, Anthony's great uncle Frankie came by and helped him redo our stairs to the basement.  Now the steps are a better size.  Originally they were too small.  Maybe we will be all done and have cool pictures to show by Christmas?  That would be nice, but we'll see.  We are going slow on it.

Okay, time for pictures from around the house.  Anyone else have fall decorations up?

New School Year

The new school year has been under way for a good month now.  I am getting to my favorite time of year to teach now that students are getting established into their new routines and there is more teaching happening!  This year, I actually started back super early because we are in our new building!  I will post pictures of the room while we were setting it up.  We still don't have all of our furnitute, so we still have stacks on the floor.  Hopefully new shelves will come soon!  As for jobs, I am back to my old schedule where I teach before school orchestra at my frst school.  Then I have a break in the day.  On Mondays I just go to my straight job to prepare for the week.  Other days, I use that break to go to the gym, run errands, or even go home.  Then I go to my second job, primary general music.  I have about 10 minute then to run to my third school where I teach after school orchestra.  I am loving this schedule after the craziness of last year!  Anyway, the pics are probably more interesting, so here they are:
Storage closet being organized.
Side view - new curriculum, but no book shelves! They'll be here soon I hope.
The risers are now out and in storage so we now have xylophones ready to play in the back.
Unpacking.....
One of the best parts: I have a window!!!!!
Other side of room.
So much to unpack.
Office is coming along. I bought the shelves on my desk and the colored baskets. Oh and the bulletin boards too. I think they look neat on top of being functional.
